Hmm...the point of religion (how I think of it) is an evil plot set by aliens to divide planet Earth. Actually no, just people like to be a part of something larger. A lot of people like to have someone to follow, to look up to. Some religions might have actually risen out of fact (I'm an atheist, so/but don't take this the wrong way). Or maybe a random guy played a prank on someone, and said a god existed (or gods, depending on the religion) and then it just escalated.
I'm christian but I don't care if you say stuff like that.Everyone is entitled to thier own opinion.I personally believe alsmost every religion.If you look at it closely there basically all the same thing.So if your christian your probably(Religionwise):Jewish,muslim,ect.They all believ in a greater god with variations between them.Very interesting and actually very funny if you think about it.And technicly It did all start with someone saying there is a greater being in the universe called god.And then technicly it did just escalate extremely.
Religion is being part of something bigger than just ourselves. People believe things that they think are true.I'm a christian so I believe there is a greater being than me/humans. People want to be a part of something like a group so a religion is a perfect way to be in a group. I know this because I have experienced being left out of many, many, many groups. Example school groups. I had to have an imagionary friend because of the lonliness.=(
Really?An imaginary friend?I just had to become a friend of the person that everyone hated and loathed.It still haunts me. :( :(
I think religion is the way people think and believe. Some people believe that there is a god or someone who created the world out there, others don't and believe more in more scientific reasons for why the world is here. I think the question of religion is one that will never be answered and has and will cause us many conflicts.
